Assignment #8
Yesterday, our group went to the HRDD of Usep to interview Mam Marivic Dumaran, the HRDD head.
When we asked her about her concept about the nature of HRM, she didn't quite understand on what we mean by "nature" of HRM and then told us to research it ourselves. [great.] in short, no comment.
When we asked her about the scope of HRM, she told us "..From the lowest rank of employee up to the top rank employee."
I followed up by asking "..even the president or CEO of an organization?"
she said, "Yes, alangan naman ang well developed lang kay ang mga lower rank employees tapos ang president dili.."
I think what she is trying to say is that HRM covers all level of employees.. and
developing the employees is one of the main objectives of the HRM.
I agree with her concept because in terms of scope, even the President himself is a human resource in the institution and should be subject for development for the benefit of the whole institution.
When we asked her about the role of HRM in an organization...
She said "..It is responsible for the hiring human resource that fits on the job's duties and function.."
I also agree with her with this statement that HRM is reponsible in hiring the right employee for the right job so that the employee can reach his/her highest potential.
I think that her concept about the development of the employees is in line with the institution because the school is not only for the development of the students alone but for the faculty and staff also.
nyahahaha..
