Journal Prompt #1

NOTE:

This blog entry is part of our requirement to make a regular personal journal about our experiences,learnings,etc.. that concerns HRM.. in order for us to "concretize our learning"

(as my teacher calls it..)

so here it goes..

By the struck of fate, our supposed to be appointment schedule to visit our original adopted company (DCWD) was changed to next week due to some company activities/agenda that they were doing.

Because of this, our group was forced to utilize the nearest possible institution that has HR so that we could have something to present as an adopted company/institution for practical examples for our presentation tomorrow.

And that institution was no less than our beloved school the

University of Southeastern Philippines!

(ahem)

At first, our group was kinda nervous about the idea that we will give the HRD head of the university a very very short notice for our request..

and we were aware that there was

a very big possibility our request will be rejected..

but thank God! that was not the case.

Mam Marivic

(the department head of the Human Resource Development of USEP)

was the complete opposite of what we were expecting..

She was very accomodating and understanding..

(in short, she was not intimidating at all..)

She immediately approved our request and enthusiastically answered our burning questions about the HRM of the university..

Overall, she was really great and very helpful..

and we sincerely thank her for that.

Despite what happened to us

I realized something..

We can't be sure of anything..

&
We should be ready in all kinds of circumstances

and also
making a "back-up plan" is very important.

but despite it all
yes, we were very lucky..

and we thank God for it.

I guess that's all for now..
